What is a request code
A request code is an encrypted file that contains information about your license server. Specifically, the request code contains your unique server identifier, called a Server ID. This Server ID is similar to a fingerprint, in that no other Server ID is the same. A request code file is saved with the (*.req) extension.
An example of a Server ID:
> RenderFarm -01D8E0EE49FF--SLP
From the request code, Softimage uses the unique identifier of your server to generate licenses specifically linked to your license server. Only licenses generated for that particular server can be installed and served from it.
An example of a request code:
# SPM request code: # Lines starting with '#' are comment lines and may be omitted # All remaining lines are required and must be sent # Please specify in your mail/FAX how many licenses you need * 0.9b Anybody 0 > RenderFarm -01D8E0EE49FF--SLP (4 Intel 1586) Windows NT 5.1 [2600] -SSPM-0 #0 NP97PF4U NVZH3DUF 16KE7RC1 MZ10FXL8 8STC10P1 YFTSY66D 3YSDEY2S 78YFX58W TRYFPYVL 1LUZF6EU HL0768FF ZY7RFNM6 262F4AB7 DLN5DE7D 5NHK8F6T NH
