Starting and stopping the license server

To install licenses or manage your license key database, you must first stop the license server. To start or stop the license server, you can do any of the following:

• In the License Manager, click the Start Server or Stop Server button.
• In a command prompt, run these commands:

   net start spmd
   net stop spmd

• Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services. Right-click on the SPM License Server entry and choose Start or Stop.
