Quick Setup Network License Server

The scenario: You want to install XSI and get your new licenses from an already installed network license server. If this description fits your scenario, then you should proceed as follows:

1. Download the XSI software package from the web at http://www.softimage.com/downloads/.
2. Run the XSI setup program.
3. Accept the EULA (End-User License Agreement). Click Next.
4. Specify the destination folder where you want to install XSI. Click Next.
5. Select XSI Essentials or XSI Advanced as the sofware package.
6. Choose Typical Install for the setup type.
7. Choose Network License Server to install XSI and obtain licenses from a license server that is already installed on your network.
8. Enter the computer name or IP address of your license server in the text box and click Add.
9. Leave the port as is and click Next.
10. Review your settings and click Next to start the installation process.
11. When the Setup is complete, select the Start XSI check box.
12. Click Finish.
