Quick Setup Local License Server Dongle

The scenario: You want to install XSI and the license server on the same computer:

1. Run the XSI setup program.
2. Accept the EULA (End-User License Agreement). Click Next.
3. Specify the destination folder where you want to install XSI. Click Next.
4. Select XSI Essentials or XSI Advanced as the sofware package.
5. Choose Typical Install for the setup type.
6. Choose Local License Server to install and run XSI and the license server on the same computer.
7. Review your installation options: click Back to make any changes and Next to continue.
8. The Setup program installs XSI and then installs the license server and the license manager.
9. After Setup finishes, plug the dongle into the USB port of your computer. Make sure to plug the dongle directly into a USB port on your computer. Do not use a USB hub or a USB extension cable.
10. On some Windows XP systems, you may have to install the dongle driver using the "Found New Hardware Wizard". On Windows Vista systems, the dongle driver is automatically installed for you.
